Twenty-five year old Bradley Hill has been making mandolins for the past two years. This particular instrument is #3 in the first series of mandolins specifically made for the prestigious Stanley Tone line. Nathan Stanley, Dr. Ralph Stanley’s grandson, is currently playing a Stanley Tone mandolin in this series.

The back, sides, and neck are made of solid curly maple. The front is solid spruce and its fret-board is made of ebony. It also sports fine nickel hardware.

This beautifully handcrafted and hand-tuned instrument was constructed by a young man seeped in family musical traditions. Mr. Hill is a graduate of Radford University with a degree in music, however his family has been playing and making instruments for several generations. His father and uncle also cut wood specifically for Gibson Guitars.
